Riding the narrow road, the sun not yet quite up, we start to get glimpses of the extraordinary peaks. All Rob and I can say to each other is wow…and then another wow…and then another. As I ride, I am wishing I can describe this day with the literary prowess of Walt Whitman or my favorite,
Mary Oliver;
“What will you do with your one wild and precious life?”
Mary Oliver, on this day, I will ride Going to the Sun Road. And I will try to sear into my memory the spectacular grandeur that is Glacier National Park. The overwhelming emotion of being so blessed…not only to experience this place, but to do it on two wheels, with lifelong friends. Climbing, climbing, climbing, listening to my breath and my heart and then stopping, to take in yet another extraordinary vista, even more beautiful than the one before.
What an incredible experience. Cathy has that ever lasting smile on her face, love it. Sorry Boomer didn't get to enjoy that scenery but that would require him leaving the comforts of the RV. Have you named the RV? You should.
